Juveniles visit Croke Park
On Monday July 5th Barrowhouse juveniles will visit Croke Park, this will prove to be a very special occasion for the u-8's as they will get to play on the pitch. The tour will include a visit to the Croke Park museum where they will get to see some of the greats of the GAA. Best of luck to all and hopefully many of these players will get to run out onto the Croke Park pitch again in the future.
St.Josephs/Barrowhouse u-14 claim title
Well done to the lads on the under 14 team who claimed the B championship defeating St. Pauls in the final. The lads came back from being five points down at half time to win by a single point on a score line of 3-7 to St Pauls 4-3. No less than six players were involved with four starting, the lads involved were Brian Daly, Eanna Burke, Andrew and James Baldwin, Conor Breathnach and Marcus O'Leary. Congratulations to one and all on a job well done.
Oisin McConville trains juveniles.
Many thanks to Oisin McConville who visited training last week and took the session with the juveniles. Oisin who won the 2003 All-Ireland with Armagh, and also scored the crucial goal, also just qualified for the All-Ireland club final with Crossmaglen Rangers on St. Patricks day. We wish himand his team mates all the best for the final.
Opel sponsor training kit for juveniles.
Many thanks to Opel and in particular Lee Coper who provided the club with training kit as part of the Opel kit for clubs campaign. Lee presented the club with the gear on behalf of Lewis Opel Portlaoise.
I'm sure it will get good use over the years.
